InDebrief - patterns of interaction and communication in debriefings after simulated emergency situations in operating theatres

Sexuelle Gesundheit

Conducted in collaboration with the Inselspital Bern and the Bernese Simulation Center (BeSic), this network-analytical observational study provides a first complete in-depth overview of interaction behaviour in debriefings after simulated emergency situations in operating theatres. In particular, targeted debriefing and the guided joint reflection of the participants seem to play a key role in achieving sustainable learning effects. A deeper understanding of the didactic design of these debriefings and aspects of interview psychology represent the first steps for further experimental research to improve the effectiveness of medical education and training and thus ultimately contribute to patient safety.
